Today I am sharing the second post in a series of small item organization with you. The second post is on how I store my letterboard pieces. I know we are all short on time so these are easy projects you can complete in under an hour!
Raise your hand if you love the letterboard trend! Love it or hate it, I’m hoping it’s here to stay for awhile!
If you have a letterboard then you know that when you first receive it, all the letterboard letters come in one drawstring bag. While it is handy to have them in one place, sifting through the bag to find each letter is a huge pain! Even if you dump it out, it takes way to long to make your quote. My time is valuable thank you very much.
First I made letter labels with my label maker and placed one letter on each compartment. This was the only container I could find that had enough dividers for 26 letters as well as all the special characters.
The other thing I am able to store in this bin are my monthly felt garlands. I purchased these to document each month of my son’s growth during his first year. (Each color pallet correlates to a different month.) I’ve also used the garlands for party decor.
Happy Half Birthday Sam!
After I stuck on the labels, I sorted everything into its correct spot. This initial sort was a bit time consuming since there are hundreds of letters and I have two different sets. The original set it came with is a little plain so I ordered this Rae Dunn inspired set from etsy. The seller has so many cute font styles and designs! If I wasn’t trying to practice a more simple lifestyle I would definitely be getting all. the. things.
Now when I want to change out my letterboard it takes me no time at all since I can easily glance and grab what I need!
I hope this simple organization solution was helpful to you. Do you have a letterboard? How do you store your letters? Let me know in the comments below!
